Sam was born in Florida and moved around often with her parents due to her dad's military career. Deciding to follow in her dad's footsteps, she joined the Navy in 2014 and spent her tour of service in Texas and California.
After leaving the military, Sam decided to settle herself in San Diego permanently and began the search for her life's passion. After several fits and starts, many adventures, and many heartaches, she found that passion in art. On New Year's Eve, 2021, she left a stressful job in order to take the steps necessary to focus on a career in painting. She completed the Arts and the Creative Process program through the University of San Diego in 2023 and debuted her first professional exhibition pieces in August 2023 at the Whittier Art Gallery in Whittier, California.
I was never given a name. The only word used to name me is "She". All I've ever heard in life are things like "She is so talented." She's a genius." She's got to stop putting powdered Jell-O into the gutters or I'm gonna lose my shit."
Having this kind of encouragement and anonymity has given me the raw power and courage needed to start a new career path past my twenties.
My general vision is one in which you trust me to add artistic value to your life.
My goals for myself and my work involve me stretching my imagination and skills to the limit. In my wildest dreams, I'm painting murals on rocket ships. In my tamest dreams, I've got some of the best selling art in hotel bathroom history. In any case, my peace lies in knowing that I've tried, and my success lies in selling lots of art for money.
